136th Home Page

On May 2, 2003 the 136th Airlift Wing NAS Forth Worth JRB, Carswell Field, Texas, reached a safety milestone that few others have achieved. 150,000 flying hours without a Class A mishap! Their last Class A was on 5 June 1965. Since that accident they have changed from KC-97s to C-130Bs and to their current C-130H2 aircraft. They have gone through a move from Hensley field to Carswell Field and ten wing commanders

Saluting the men and women who served in the 136th Fighter Interceptor Group, the 136 Fighter Bomber Wing, the136th Air Defense Wing, the 136th Air Refueling Wing and the 136th Airlift Wing. A unit with over 50 years of service to our country tracing its origins to the 368th Fighter Group of World War Two fame. The unit is currently located at:
